I figured you might say that. So I did some research, and here is how much $$$ Cobra sells the rares you’d be trading:
Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom - $4
Shadow Between x2 - $5 each
Take Up the Bow - $2.50
Elven Marksmanship x3 - $2.50 each (or $3 if foil)
Now let’s look at some of the stuff you wanted:
Sceptre of the Dark Lord - $5
Gimli’s Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon - $2.50
Hides - $4.50
Shelob, Eater of Light x3 - $3 each
Catapult - $2.50
Terrible and Evil x5 - $6 each
Vision From Afar x2 - $4 each
Power According to His Stature - $3.50
Sting, Bane of the Eight Legs - $3
Escape - $4
Frodo, Frenzied Fighter - $4
So I don’t see how you can say that your 7 rares are nearly worth 10-13 of those rares (which you would choose). In fact, after looking at how valuable all those cards of mine are, I’m having 2nd thoughts about the trade, even with the commons and uncommons included.

But it’s one thing to judge the monetary value by this site, and one thing to judge it by another site’s--and furthermore, the monetary value to me doesn’t matter as much in the face of me simply getting the cards I need for my deck. Scepter, for example, I don’t really need, it’s just I think having more than one copy of it for my Sauron deck might help just in case someone tops his 24 strength. Same goes for Sting, Escape, Frodo, Hides, Vision. In fact the only expensive cards I really need are Terrible and Evil.
Still, it’s up to you whether you are willing to do the trade or not. Let me know whether you’d still like to do a trade. |

I completely agree with you that monetary value shouldn’t be the only thing followed. But I don’t think it should be completely disregarded either.
How about this: since you turned down my offer, why don’t you make an offer to me.
