ditto good cards! though maybe it should be, each time sam wins a skirmish exert rosie to remove a burden?
Now THAT is the best idea I have heard yet! Thanks!
Made slight change to Gaffer and that recommended change to Rosie. I think we finally have a winner!
Thanks for the compliment! I do like it when people like some of my reviewing suggestions. (especially in such glowing terms) it makes it all worth it. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Resistance +1
Aid - Add and a burden.
Bearer must be a Hobbit.
When you transfer The Gaffer to Sam or Rosie Cotton, heal bearer.
Bearer is strength +1 for each tale you can spot (limit +4).
“‘Elves and Dragons! Cabbages and potatoes are better for me and you. Don’t go getting mixed up in the business of your betters, or you’ll land in trouble too big for you.’”
Interesting. Not many tales in standard format, but very cool in expanded.

While you can spot Sam, both he and Rosie Cotton are resistance +2.
Each time Sam wins a skirmish, you may exert Rosie Cotton to remove a burden.
Each time Rosie Cotton loses a skirmish, exert Sam or add 2 burdens.
“‘Don’t worry, Sam. Rosie knows an idiot when she sees one.’”
Cool. She’s balanced and reflective. Not much to say about today’s card, Dáin. Well done! |

Thanks, guys.
If anyone wants to go back and review Bilbo or Fatty Bolger, I’ll still give out s for it. Otherwise, here’s a new card. Enjoy!
•Mrs. Bracegirdle, Very Productive
Ally • Home 1 • Hobbit
Strength: 1
Vitality: 2
Each time you play a Hobbit, you may heal Mrs. Bracegirdle.
Each time you draw a card, if that card is a card, you may reveal that card and exert Mrs. Bracegirdle to draw another card (and heal Mrs. Bracegirdle if that card is a follower).
“‘Are all these children yours? Good gracious!’”
Her subtitle comes from the next line in that lore, when Bilbo exclaims “‘you have been productive!’” So, I tried to make her a very productive little ally. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

DáinIronfoot wrote: Today, we have a character that I cannot BELIEVE has not yet appeared in LOTR TCG. I know WETA has prepared images that will be used at some point, but I cannot understand why they haven’t been used yet.
So here he is: Fredegar "Fatty" Bolger. And boy, are both of his versions interesting. Enjoy!
 • Fatty Bolger, Cautious Conspirator
Ally • Home 2 • Hobbit
Strength: 2
Vitality: 3
To play, spot 2 Hobbits.
Each time the fellowship moves to a dwelling site, you may heal a Hobbit.
Each time the fellowship moves during the regroup phase, you may exert Fatty Bolger to discard a Shadow condition or minion.
“‘Still, I am very glad someone is stopping behind, who can tell Gandalf what you have done, when he turns up, as I am sure he will before long.’”
i love the hate. and also the healing. it fits with the story. maybe the lore should be something that includes "fear fire foes awake". but that’s just my oppinion.
 • Fatty Bolger, Just a Decoy
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Signet: Frodo
Maneuver: If Fatty Bulger is unwounded and the fellowship is at a sanctuary, remove him from the game to play a Hobbit companion from your draw deck.
Response: If another Hobbit is about to be discarded or killed, you may discard Fatty Bolger instead.
“His task, according to the original plans of the conspirators, was to stay behind and deal with inquisitive folk, and to keep up as long as possible the pretence that Mr. Baggins was still living at Crickhollow.”
i love the card, again fits with the story. |

Well that went pretty well, so here’s another Hobbit. Probably our last companion of the set, but you never know with that crazy Dáin fellow.
Bounder, Member of The Watch
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 4
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 7
To play, spot 3 cards.
While the fellowship is in region 1 or at a dwelling site, this companion gains hunter 2.
“‘Who goes there?’”
Not very often the Hobbits get some real muscle, eh? I figured they could use a non-unique alternative to Westfarthing Businessman.
Also, I forgot that Tolman Cotton, Farmer of Bywater existed until I was working on this card. I’m going to make one more change to Rosie, tying Tolman in. If you have a chance, let me know if she still looks good. |
