That was close.
The battle is on! Here are the Dc’s from the last round, and the matchups were:
1. AP verses SOP
2. BW verses EL
Now it is time to vote which one you choose. AP and SOP cannot vote on round 1, and BW and EL cannot vote on round 2. (You cannot vote on your opponent’s card). Start voting, and here are the cards for the Matchups!
Matchup 1.
Anonymous Prodigy’s card:
• Deagol, Curious Halfling
Follower
Resistance +1
Aid – .
To play, spot Smeagol (or exert a companion).
Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may add to draw 2 cards or discard 2 cards at random from an opponent’s hand.
SickofPalantir’s card:
Deagol, Curious Halfling
Follower
Resistance +1
Aid -Add a Burden
Each time Deagol is transferred to a companion, you may reveal the top card of your draw deck, if you can spot Smeagol, you may place that card beneath your draw deck. Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may draw a card.
Matchup 2.
BattleWarg’s card:
•Deagol, Curious Halfling
Follower
+1 Resistance
To play, spot Smeagol.
Aid - Add a burden.
Skirmish: Discard this from play to search your deck for a possession with the same culture as bearer (or, if bearer is the same culture as the Ring-bearer, an artifact that is the same culture) and take it into hand.
"’Then he let go of his line, for he saw something shining in the river-bed...’"
Elf Lvr’s card:
*Deagol, Curious Halfling
Follower
Aid--Add a burden.
To play, spot Smeagol.
When you transfer Deagol to a companion, you may reveal a shadow player’s hand.
Skirmish: Exert bearer twice to play an artifact from your draw deck.
"I already gave you your birthday present! I think I’ll keep this for myself."
Voting will last for a week (unless we do receive a lot of votes from other people), and the winners will have another round until there is one lone survivor.
Good luck,
-Glamdring-

Oops. I forgot to put the second parenthesis on Deagol’s text. Mind if I fix it? |
I had to put something here. |

I vote for AP and EL. I’m not a big fan of the resistance boost being negated right away by a burden on the other two. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Yeah, unfortunately I was in Magic card mode when I made that... But yeah, the idea was to take a possession from your deck into hand (or, if the Ring-bearer is the same culture, an artifact).
So, my mistake...
As for AP vs SoP.
I’m going to have to go with SoP.
The costs on AP’s just seemed a bit much. I’d say it’s not badly balanced, although I’m not sure about having it be playable in a deck without Smeagol. But for the Gollum culture, adding for a 2 card advantage is a bit much. 3 twilight (so far) gets Smeagol: Escaping the dead pile (The Dead City), or getting help (Serving the Precious).
SoP’s, on the other hand, has a fairly low cost (a burden) to be able to ’spot’ and ’find’ the top card of your deck. I also notice an interesting combo with Elven Telepathy that it would help with. |
Our time here is ending...
What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |

it IS how deagol was made...
for that matter I vote BW. checking if the shadow player has events could be crucial...(+ I just like BW’s) |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |
