Earlier we had a little Shadow site control. Now we have another form of site control...more like site manipulation, you could say. Once you’re within sight of the dark tower of Dol Guldur, it’s not easy to get away. Enjoy!
Land of the Necromancer

If the Free Peoples player just played a forest site, spot your minion (except a Spider) to replace that site with a site from your adventure deck (and add a threat if that site is a mountain).
“‘Stick to the forest-track, keep your spirits up, hope for the best, and with a tremendous slice of luck you may come out one day....’”
Hmmm... Might make it "replace that site with a forest site from your adventure deck..." I don’t think that makes the threat part obsolete, as I believe you referred to forest/mountains in an earlier duo.
 • The Hill of Black Magic
Condition • Support Area
If you can spot a forest site in region 2 and a mountain site in region 3, the Free Peoples player cannot replace a site in region 3.
Shadow: If the fellowship is in region 3, discard this condition to add a burden or a threat for each forest and mountain site you can spot (except in region 1).
“...in a dark hill he made his dwelling and wrought there his sorcery, and all folk feared the Sorcerer of Dol Guldur....”
Nice! Might add a limit on the effect, maybe 3 or 4 burdens. |

True, but if memory serves, I only have one or two forest/mountain sites, so then this wouldn’t work very often. If anything, I’d want to limit it to mountain sites, but that would take a lot of usefulness out of the card. Personally, I think it’s better this way. Unless you disagree...? |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

I probably should have been posting sites all along throughout the Duos, but here’s a "bonus" posting of some of the sites the Nazzies and Orcs can work with. Keep in mind that the set follows an old-school sitepath, with numbered 1-9, rather than the post-Shadows site format.
Mountains of Mirkwood
Site 7 [LA]
Forest. Mountain. The twilight cost of the first minion played each Shadow phase is -1.
Fortress of Amon Lanc
Site 7 [LA]
Mountain. The twilight cost of each condition is -1.
Pits of Dol Guldur
Site 7 [LA]
Mountain. Underground. Each time a Free Peoples character is captured, the first Shadow player may add or a threat.
Each time a Free Peoples character is rescued, the Free Peoples player must add or a threat. |

Okay, I can do that. Thanks! |

Mountains of Mirkwood
Site 7 [LA]
Forest. Mountain. The twilight cost of the first minion played each Shadow phase is -2.
With cheap orcs, I’d either change it to just the first minion, not the first each phase, or -1 for the first of each phase. Nice other than that, though.
Fortress of Amon Lanc
Site 7 [LA]
Mountain. The twilight cost of each condition is -1.
Good
Pits of Dol Guldur
Site 7 [LA]
Mountain. Underground. Each time a Free Peoples character is captured or rescued, add or a threat.
Who chooses? FP or Shadow? Or is it FP when rescuing, Shadow when capturing? |
Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

I think I’ll go with the latter suggestion.

Good question. I’ll clarify it.
Thanks for the review! |
