IMO cut hunter down to 1, and make strength 6.
I just have a bias against guys like the one you have now |

Okay, that I can do. I’d rather leave it as is, but I can bring myself to go 6 strength, hunter 1. |

Dáin’s DC Duos #138
Well, I didn’t realize we were there already, but today marks the last couple Númenórean cards. That doesn’t mean we’re done with Gondor, though. Next time we’ll get into some cards based on an event about 2,500 years after the wars of the Last Alliances and the Disaster of the Gladden Fields. It will be a small part of the overall culture in Lasting Alliances, but it’s an important one.
For now, here’s the last of the potent Númenórean stuff. Enjoy!
Stood Firm
Condition • Support Area
Toil 1.
While you can spot more minions than companions, each Man bearing a hand weapon or skirmishing an Orc is strength +1 (+2 if bearing a hand weapon and skirmishing an Orc).
“The great Men towered above the tallest Orcs, and their swords and spears far outreached the weapons of their enemies. The onslaught faltered, broke and retreated, leaving the defenders little harmed, unshaken, behind piles of fallen Orcs.”
I’m worried this one is a little too costly, but every time I brought the cost down, it seemed too good. What do you think is a good balance?
•Its Splendor Grew
Condition • Support Area
Tale.
At the start of each regroup phase, if you cannot spot a minion, spot X artifacts and add (X) to heal X companions (limit 3).
“...it recalled the wealth and majesty of Númenor ere it fell High towers the people of Gondor built, and strong places, and havens of many ships; and the Winged Crown of the Kings of Men was held in awe by people of many lands and tongues.”
Even the mighty Númenóreans aren’t ALL about fighting. This is like Citadel of Minas Tirith on steroids. |

I would lower the cost to .

I would put a limit on it; maybe 3. Awesome card! |
I had to put something here. |

Dáin’s DC Duos #139
We’ve only got a couple Duos left, and what remains is quite different than what we’ve seen of Gondor in this set so far. Whereas everything up until now has been focused on the Númenóreans from the end of the Second Age and their battles during the Last Alliance and at the Gladden Fields, today we fast forward 2,500 years into Gondor’s history to one more important event: the Battle of the Field of Celebrant, afterwhich Cirion, Steward of Gondor, and Eorl, leader of the Éothéod, swore an oath that created the land of Rohan and established the long alliance between it and Gondor.
Like I said, we won’t be here too long, but we will revisit in a little while, as pretty much all cards in the set focus on these events as well.
For now, here’s Cirion himself, as well as another key player that alone survived to call on the future Rohirrim for aid. Enjoy!
•Cirion, Noblest of the Stewards
Companion • Man
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Knight. Hunter 1.
The twilight cost of each Man is -1.
Each time a Man wins a skirmish, you may exert Cirion to exert a minion or remove a threat.
“...in Cirion Eorl saw the highest and noblest man of the world that he knew, and the wisest, on whom sat the majesty of the Kings of Men of long ago.”
•Borondir, Rider of the Last Hope
Companion • Man
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Valiant.
While you can spot a unique Man and a unique Man, Borondir’s twilight cost is -1.
While Borondir is mounted, he is strength +1 (or +2 if bearing a mount).
“...a great rider of a family that claimed descent from a captain of the Northmen in the service of the Kings of Old.”
Oh, and Happy Easter! I’m off for my Easter feast now, but I had time between that and church to get these up. |

Seems fairly balanced, but a bit underpowered, somehow...

Now this is very interesting! Seems good to me. It’s almost exactly like a companion... but in the culture!

really I think you could cut the cost to 3. it isn’t that good.
