Game Result
CG’s Ring-bound Rangers w/ Tentacle Swarm
vs.
my Dwarven beasts w/ corruption
His Rangers set up quickly, and held off my minions until late in region 2. Fortunately, I discarded Arrows Thick in the Air twice with Dwarven Axe. Twice (both in region 2), he came up 1 strength short from overwhelming Gimli.
I finally pulled a good hand on my site 7-8 reconcile, and I played 6 minions for under (not bad, when Porter Troll and Mocking Goblin are 2 of the 6 minions). His Boromir was already maxed with wounds, so he was forced to take the 3 burdens which corrupted him at site 8.
Good game! |
I had to put something here. |

Well, I took on AP, forgot that he ran a corruption deck.
Format: Expanded
Me: ring-bound Rangers/ tentacle swarm
Him: beatdown with Radagast/ corruption + Archer of Harad
Summary: Well, he couldn’t get a whole lot going, until about site 7. Then, I was forced to assign Boromir to a skirmish, adding three burdens (on top of one that was already extant from Bound to Its Fate). That was the big one, when I downed his Porter Troll with a bunch of exertions. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stop the minions from getting to Boromir.
Site 8 was what did it for me. Big burden-adding frenzy, he got 2 minions on Boromir, who was exhausted from exertions, and that added the magic 3 burdens. GG.
(My tentacles worked pretty well, I was able to get 1 or 2 minions on Gimli almost every site, but he was too beefed-up for me to stop. I don’t like Dwarves.) |

Game: NappyKorn vs Me || Winner: Me (incomplete)
I was at 8, he was at 6, he got disconnected, said I would have won. ’Gorns bow, nine comps, Shadowplay, Hardy Garrison, etc, etc with 1 threat, 3 archers, Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien, I’d have won.
Anyway, I used a refuge Initiative losing deck that wounds like crazy and uses Glimpse of Fate/Arwen, Queen of Elves and Men to fight. You could call it a wedding deck, it has Faramir, Aragorn, Eowyn and Arwen, along with 5 other comps. Smallburrow, lose initiative, Madril, Faramir’s Aide lose initiative, Gandalf, Powerful Guide, lose initiative, peel 3 burdens, strength -4 3 times, 3 wounds, lose 3 conditions, what’s not to love?
Shadow side was Warg-Riders, how D intended them to be played.
Anyway, started with crummy draws, but finally got set up at 5. Ran twice and game crashed.
He ran Elf Archery with Enduring Nazzies. I’m telling you, Namarie is broken. Enduring Nazzies on the shadow side gave me a close call with corruption at 4-5, but I managed to kill his WK in archery.

So what’s the deal with SDA? I have a few questions and want to get in on the action. Here’s what I want to know:
*Is the format primarily standard?
*How easy is it to find someone to play? Do you usually have to wait long or do you have to plan ahead to play someone if they’re a CC user?
*How long does it usually take to upload a deck?
Just a few questions I have off the top of my head? I’m definitely interested in getting in on the online game-play for once. If anybody could help me out, I’d appreciate it. Thanks. |

Yeah, primarily standard, with no NPE cards. You upload by selecting a deck from your computer when you play. Sometimes it takes a while, sometimes not. All depends.
Game: NappyKorn vs Me || Draw: Game Crash at site 7
MY: Pipeweed/ Hunter Grind
HIS: Enduring Nazgul/Aragorn, Well-Travelled Guide
My hobbits were cancelling skirmishes like crazy, and getting ready for a cancellation run, but game crashed. hunters WOULD HAVE KILLED ARAGORN, but I forgot Gorn had Anduril, and exerted Frodo with Deathly Roar. Otherwise, it would have practically been over there.
As was, I may have been able to kill him at 8, or at least stop him so I could run, but all up in the air. gg.
Ah...for AP’s sake, he dropped Anduin Banks at site 2 on my hobbits. A lot of people seem to like doing that... |

REPORT Gil-estel vs me
hobbits & corsairs vs elven hunters & kill bill
Mumak commander and rapid reload delayed him while my elves ran and ran. sites 6-8 were disastrous for me. Anduin banks meant 6 total and neekerbreeker’s a wound for all. Thank god on site 9 he had only 1 minion left.... |

I’m going to report before our lucky Greek does. He won. With 4 cards left in my drawdeck there were also 3 minions left. So I could only play one to match his two poor companions.
My hobbits/pippin tank with corsairs VS his Hunter Elves with countless companies/mumak commander/bill ferny grind. Very ugly, and deadly. We killed eachother as much as we could, but for me it wasn’t enough! Thanks Corvus, for the second loss, and who’s going to beat this lucky Greek? (which reminds me of 2004 when the Greek won Euro2004, also very luckily... |
