CG is right; Unseen Foe is a great card to dish out some wounds.
I had to put something here.

Another thing: you say not to play Gollum until he’s set up. I disagree. With Captured by the Ring, you can play him from your discard anyway. No biggie there. In fact, it’s preferable to get him discarded, since then you can add a threat with Captured by the Ring.

Also, keeping him in hand clogs up your hand.

I’m talking about not playing him too much until you have something like an Incited on the table to pull back your Captured by the ring. Otherwise, if your opponent double moves, you may run out of Captured by the ring. This has happened to me on quite a few occasions, so here’s what I usually do:

Play Gollum out, but be very aware of how many captured by the ring I have left. I’ll play my Shelob almost all the time, but am very careful with my Gollum until incited is on the table.

Ooh, Incited...I need to check and see if that’s in my deck.

Great card. A lot of people in my area like to start with a big tank fellowship and then run, so without a proper set up, my Gollum will get killed every turn, and I’ll run out of Captured by the Ring to pull him back. My threats don’t do much good then Sad

I like to wait until I have an Incited to be safe and be able to pull back Captured by the ring every turn throughout the rest of the game. That means tons of threats, and then with more conditions on the table, it’s basically a game over.

And why do you think that, PorterTroll?

I can prove otherwise. Twisted Evil
Expanded, he whips just about anyone. And in Standard, he’s still a beast. What Free Peoples do you play?

Ninja Gollum is dead. I don’t care if everyone starts screaming OPEN!! OPEN!!!

IT IS DEAD.

Everything essential to make it work is rotated. There. I said it. 1/5.

I can still kill you with Standard ninja gollum.
Check this out:
Go first, pull a Saved From the Fire on Smeagol. Grab Little Snuffler 2x, and Gollum, Dark as Darkness. This is death to any ARB. End of game.

Finally, you seem to think that the only format of play is Standard. I recognize Expanded as a legitimate and skillful format as well. In fact, it’s one of the best.
