what would an elven archery with Gimli lok like this is for a friend.

i only need the freeps side.

there is such an abomination? aragorn is the only other companion besiedes elves in an archery deck.

Dwarves can be very helpful in Elven decks.

yes, but only in expanded format where you can use hand axe to use gimli to add archery.

otherwise i agree with elf lvr, it is much better to just stick with aragorn when using an elf deck. but if you do insist on usning gimli with elves, there are many cards that do directly work between gimli and legolas, such as my axe is notched.

in my opinion though, i think it is much smarter and it would prevent a lot of clogging to just use elves with aragorn, or just elves with other elves.

I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. With 3 threats, a Dwarf bearing Gimli’s Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon is an archer. You could also add Slaked Thirsts and Preparations to add some more exertions and wounding.

I do agree though, that such a deck would be a lot more effective in expanded format! Smile

I would probably start out with something like this:

Gimli, Bearer of Grudges
The One Ring, The Ring of Rings

Companions:
Arwen, Queen of Elves and Men (s)
Legolas, Archer of Mirkwood (s)
Aegnor, Elven Escort x 3
Gil-galad, Elven High-king x 2

Possessions:
Elven Bow x 4
Gimli’s Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon x 2
Ring of Fury x 2

Events:
Quick as May Be x 4
Slaked Thirst x 4

Conditions:
Preparations x 3

OK, this needs some tweaking of course (and more cards)... The basic idea is to use Slaked Thirsts to exert minions in the maneuver phase, and then kill off as much as possible with archery. Tech in this deck, is the Legolas/Gimli/Aegnor connection. Assign a minion to Legolas, pump him with Aegnor, and then use Legolas ability to heal either Gimli or Aegnor.

This would probably be a fun deck to play, but don’t expect it to win consistently Razz

There is another possibility of elven/drwarven archery deck.
It uses Lend Us Your Aid - two exertion and every Elf companion str+3..brilliant vs huge minions or for swarm deck.

yeah my friend is probably going to go with an elrohri elledan deck could you give me one that doesn’t have the galadriel ringbearer?

i have an elven archery deck that does use galadriel as the ringbearer, but i use a ton of elves so her resistance stays up. i even use the twins in it. i use companions like Rumil and Orophin, the newer ones that become archers in the maneuver or when you can spot elves+forests. by site 7 if you get all bows and legolas, son of thranduil out, archery is almost 8 plus any events you have. it kicks so you can run...
