The fellowship is meant to win in this deck. It cycles through shadow cards quickly with Eomer and moves twice or even three times in a turn with theoden/theodred. Rally Cry is a great event with theodred, because with a mount he exerts a minion skirmishing him twice. Eowyn reinforces tokens on Freely Across Our Land to reply javelins.
The Shadow is a pretty basic uruk beatdown/swarm. It cycles through high costing minions early with eomer, and through the deck with Strange Device. If you can assign a minion to the RB, slap down a Brutality and use weapons of control for a possible kill. otherwise, cycle through the shadow to bring the fellowship in for a win.

its a fine site, to be sure, but for those of us that don’t have four copies of every card...
I won’t splash gandalf in this deck (although he’s probably goin in my elves) and i wount put in Gamling unless i’m starting with him (which i’m not)

Pretty nice deck.
I was wondering why you are using Frodo, Old Bilbo’s Heir ?You do have a Bounder but with cards like Anduin Confluence and such allies are not that helpful. Try to get a Gamling, Defender of the Hornburg. You cannot believe how useful he is. Other than that you have a pretty good Rohan Royalty deck.

that was once your theodred, and now he serves me well. i have one copy of gamling, but if i really should put him in, what to take out?
What other frodo do you suggest i use? I like this one for the ability to use bounder every turn, but if you think that bounder would get discarded that fast... |

a couple of reasons. one, he helps cycle through shadow cards. two, he is a pump for any of my  companion, esp. theodred, since with a mount minions skirmishing theodred must exert twice. If what you mean is "why not third marshall", well, thats because this eomer is not just a boost for himself. my most common opponent for my rohan is enduring nazzes, who third marshall can do okay against, but my other companions were getting screwed. I am hoping this eomer can make any companion a beast, not just himself. And i don’t have the hunters eomer, either. |
