What would a Three Hunters deck look like without Aragorn, Throngil and Legolas, of the Woodland Realm ,?
The reason I ask is that a friend wants to make a deck like this but he doesn’t have that much money. So please post sample decklists, both with Aragorn, Throngil and Legolas, of the Woodland Realm, and without.
Also please do not spam this thread.
If you don’t have a decklist of suggestion don’t post.

Here’s one without any rares (and using only Hunters cards)...
Frodo, Weary From the Journey
The One Ring, The Ruling Ring
Gimli, Eager Hunter (starting)
Legolas, Fleet-footed Hunter (starting)
Aragorn, Swift Hunter x4
Elven Warrior x2
Focus x4
No Quicker Path x3
Whatever End x2
Forth the Three Hunters! x3
Ranger’s Cloak x2
Ithilien Blade x2
Sword of the Fallen x3
Point Blank Range x2
Heavy Axe x2
Hobbit Sword x2
The object is to get a cycle going, using Aragorn’s portion of Forth the Three to make everyone win their skirmishes, and then using Focus to heal Aragorn back up again. |

| Without Hunters companions, try using Aragorn, Driven by Need comboed with Aragorn’s Longbow, Ranger’s Longbow. |

Cheap Hunters shadow...give me some time to think about it. I’ll edit a decklist into this post once I come up with something.
Okay, here’s a core to start with: pumping up Mauhúr to kill off key companions, and playing Copycat Uruks with Sentry Uruk. If he can’t afford Sentry Uruk, that can be left out.
Mauhur, relentless hunter 4x
Violent Hurl 3x
Suffered Much Loss 3x
Brutality 4x
Sentry Uruk 2x
Pursuing Uruk 3x
Tweak at will. If he can afford it, or has it, put in Lurtz’s Sword, Mighty Longsword for Mahúr pumping. |

so, call me stupid please  , but which sets aren’t being used? when i think three hunters i think of dauntless hunter, wingfoot and lockbearer, not the new three cheap hunter companions...
any help with my ignorance anyone? |

| I’d assume it’s Standard. Focusing on Hunters, of course, because Three Hunters is coming alive again with the new block. |

 i just play with my buddies. they were all in when tournies were everywhere years ago, but since i started a year back, i’ve no idea what cards are xed and which blocks are included in which set: open, standard, expanded, etc...i really have no clue.
any links? or someone who knows just pm me so i don’t make a fool of myself on this site by building decks that don’t fit the set...  |
