Huh... I never thought about that, Leyline of Lifeforce BOMBS Counterbalance! And I just ordered 4, along 4 Survivor of the Unseen, and I just traded for 3 Sensei’s Divining Top! WWHHHHAAAAAAAA!!! Hehe, just kidding. Simple answer, just pack Boomerang and/or Eye of Nowhere.

Ironfoot is ridiculous. if you tap out to play it, it FORCES them to have char. even if they do have char, it is one less char that will be aimed at your head or our meloku, which is important in this archetype. This is a problem of yours, lasingrail, you always think 1 card makes a deck or a card unplayable. Phyrexian Ironfoot is also amazing because it gives you something to do with your mana when you don’t have scrying sheets, and even allows you to give it pseudo-vigilance. if you don’t believe me when I say this card is good, feel free to look at the japanese nationals coverage, where it is featured in the current yaso control deck, designed by one of today’s top deck designers. Many players in japanese nationals were changing their black red almost creature less decks to add the ironfoot.

inresponse is right, Ironfoot is a very nice card. Of course, saying that everyone played him at pre-release does not help (after all, everyone played Aurochs Herd as well), but Ironfoot DID appear in some builds in major tournaments. He doesn’t fetch you a card, that’s true, but he’s better, for instance, then Carven Caryatid in almost any build, because he’s colorless AND he ATTACKS if you need him to (with the already mentioned pseudo-vigilance).

What do you have against aurochs herd? He’s a limited BOMB!

I ran:

6 Boreal Druid
6 Swift Manuever
4 Aurochs Herd
1 Panglacial Wurm
1 Boreal Druid
1 Mishra’s Bauble
4 other things.
17 land

I beat a pair of 1900+ guys and their not that great buddy with this. 3-0 in team draft, we beat their faces. Aurochs herd is amazing. Now I’m going to have to make an aurochs deck just to show you lol.

sorry I listed druid twice. I meant 1 centaur, 6 druids. 6 druids owns FACE!

Me (T1): Snow forest, druid, go

Him: land, go

Me, snow forest again. Swing with druid. Play two more druids

Him: ?!? Uh... land and go...

Me: Aurochs herd, finding aurochs herd.

Him: Um. land, gutless ghoul..>?

Me: Aurochs herd into aurochs herd.

Him: Zombie Musher?

Me: Aurochs herd into aurochs herd

Him: You got FOUR???

Me: Aurochs herd. Not even swinging yet.

Him: Um...

Me: Panglacial Wurm.

Him: Concede.

Me: you have to at least let me attack with 7/4 tramplers!

Him: Lucky draw, kid.

Me: Beat him again.

mine was a draft (hard to OPEN 6 boreal druids) but the same thing applies. I actually got my first prerelease loss (for the match), so I’m still sore about it.
