Hey everyone, here’s a deck I’ve been playing, but it was made pre-shadows and I need some advice on how to modify it with some of the cards from sets 11+

Frodo, wicked masster!

The One Ring, Such a Weight To Carry

(30)

Faramir, wizard’s pupil (S)

Pippin wearer of black and silver (S)

Gandalf, defender of the west x4

Glamdring, elven blade x2

Terrible and evil x2

Moment of respite

Light the beacons

Fool’s hope

Denethor Wizened steward x2

Aragorn, driven by need x4

Noble leaders x2

Knight’s spear x3

Dagger Strike x2

Gondorian Merchant

Hobbit Sword x2

Sam, needer of vittles

(30)

the witch-king, morgul king x4

ulaire cantea, faster than winds x2

ulaire enquea, faster than winds x2

corrupt

feel his blade

out of sight and shot

ulaire attea, wraith on wings x2

ulaire lemenya, assailing minion x2

ghastly host

held ground

morgul ruffian x2

ulaire nelya, assailing minion x2

ulaire toldea, wraith on wings x3

captured by the ring x4

gollum, vile creature

1 steps of edoras

2 west roads

3 hall of kings

4 Osgiliath fallen

5 city gates

6 minas tirith fifth circle

7 pelennor grassland

8 morgulduin

9 dagorlad

The strategy is pretty obvious, a basic noble leaders. Aragorn is great with knight’s spear. Faramir and Pippin help you on the way to site 3, while you get your fellowship set up. Gandalf is usually a nine strength right off the bat, and you usually draw all of your companions quickly. Sam helps against things like Beasterlings, letting you remove burdens every time you return Pippin to hand and play him again, and you can return him to hand more and more with Gondorian merchant, who will make minions roaming.

The shadow is a basic Threat Guls. You use the Witch-King to help cycle cards back to hand so that you can always play a good shadow. Feel his blade is a great way to slow the fellowship down.

Please tell me what you think I should do to adjust this. I would like to keep as many cards as I can, and I would like the basic strategy to be the same. Thanks a lot.

Cheers,

i dont get why your using gandalf, defender of the west, is it just cause of the strength bonus? and if you draw him before any other gondor companions his special effect is useless, id replace him, but thats just me |

You obviously need new sites. Courtyard Parapet for starters. For those threats, City Gates. And The Angle, to cycle.

A Shadow Fell Over Them will help your threat strategy, and Later Than You Think uses threats to get more nazzies out.

Ulaire Lemenya, Eternally Threatening is great for threats, especially against rainbow decks.

For Free Peoples, why do you have two options for Aragorn’s weapon? If you play Knight’s Spear on him, he can’t bear Anduril, Flame of the West (unless you get Chamber of Mazarbul) Also, just ditch Knight’s Spear for a weapon that won’t add threats. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |
