I’ve always wanted to make this specific DC, so here goes:
• The one Ring, The Ring of The Lord
Strength +2
Vitality +1
Each time the ring-bearer is about to take a wound while wearing the one ring, add 2 burdens instead.
Response: If the ring-bearer is about to take a wound, add a threat to wear the one ring until the regroup phase.
Now i can go in peace, knowing that i’ve left sth great for mankind... |

I will say this as nicely as possible...
This is a horrible card.
It is easily the best Ring ever made, without any kind of drawback. There’s no factor that could make it less desirable than another ring. Plus, it’s really bland.
Try mixing things up a bit. Remove some of the +1 bonuses, change the phase the ring goes on, and add some neat extra cost or special ability. |
Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Isn’t this the point of DC? Be the way you like them? Anyway, is it better now? |

Well in the end, you’re right. DCs are anything you want them to be. But injecting a bit of creativity and realism makes them better.
With your change, it’s taken a plunge to the other side of the spectrum (horribly underpowered). Let’s give it more of a theme.
Your ring’s subtitle is The Ring of the Lord, which shows how it came from an evil master. Lock on to that idea and run with it.
For starters, get rid of the resistance +1 (no evil ring will be against corruption). Now you’re left with strength +1 and vitality +1.
Now, there are currently two rings with S+1 and V+1 (Isildur’s Bane and The Binding Ring), so steer clear of how they get the ring put on and the bonuses they give.
I’d try something truly unique, and give your ring something with threats and burdens. But it’s up to you. |

Nice ring. I like the threat twist, but I think that maybe exerting? As menace64 said on one of my rings, people use the ring-bearer too much as a pincushion for wounds. If you make it an exertion, it will make them take archery on someone else. |

I had it totally different before M64’s recommendations. |

Nah, it’s bound to be evil or sth, but over-burdenation would be too heavy. A threat is a good option. Can you imagine Sauron hurting as he put on the ring?... |
