--- description ---
The basic idea of any wounding deck is to killl all to most minions before they reach the skirmish phase. This deck is no exception, although I wanted to make a deck with companions of all different cultures. I haven’t built this deck up, it’s still in the design process, but here it is anyway.

Free Peoples (32 cards)
Gimli, Bearer of Grudges
The One Ring, Answer to all the Riddles
Legolas, Greenleaf
Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien
Smeagol, Always Helps
Aragorn, Thorongil x4
Gimli’s Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon
Ring of Rury
Aiglos
Spear of the Mark
Brego
Coif
Ranger’s Sword
Aragorn’s Bow
Preparations x2
Tale of Gil-Galad
Saga of Elendil
Quick as May Be x4
Slaked Thirsts x3
Might of Numenor x4
Blood Runs Chill x2
I think this deck will be quite interesting to play because it requires a thoughtful series of phases. The maneuver, archery and skirmish phases are of peak importance. Thorongil, Quick as May Be and Slaked Thirsts allow for early wounds, directed archery kills helps kill off some badies, then smeagol can add some more exertions before Eowyn clears the board. Might of Numenor should be an incredibly usefull healing event for two reasons: all companions except smeagol will be exerting and it helps with the double move.
How does this initial design look?
Thanks-

Wow, pretty sweet incorporation of Eowyn wounding! I love the use of Smeagol, Slaked Thirsts, and Aiglos...it really goes beyond the normal wounding deck! |

Good ideas. If you want some more, you can check my article for November. It is devoted entirely to wounding. |

wow that is pretty cool!
the one thing i don’t necisarily like is the 4 thorongil’s. kind of hard to get, and i would cut back a bit, but that is me. i see the importance though so i have to say i like it. |

Although...a Pavise deck just might kill itself on this one. Because the Shadow player can’t wound a Pavise-bearer either...so Eowyn can have some fun here.
The one thing I’m worried about is that you only have one copy of each possession in there. Are you sure you can get all of them in play? |

Why not throw Gilgalad in there to kill the stragglehers in the regroup. |

Yeah, that would be good...and you could slap Aiglos on him too-unless you’re saving that for Greenleaf. |

Just wondering why is Gimli your ring bearer. I think you would be better of with frodo. For corruption |
