I’ll start off with the Lord of the Eagles himself, and a nifty (IMO) pump.

  • Gwaihir, Lord of the Eagles

Companion • Eagle

Strength: 12

Vitality: 4

Resistance: 6

Damage +1. Defender +1.

To play, exert an Eagle (or spot Gandalf).

Fellowship: Exert Gwaihir twice to play an Eagle from your draw deck. That Eagle is strength +2 and damage +1 until the end of the turn.

”The Lord of the Eagles of the Misty Mountains had eyes that could look at the sun unblinking, and could see a rabbit moving on the ground a mile below even in the moonlight.”

  Farewell, Wherever You Fare

Event • Skirmish

Exert Gandalf to make an Eagle strength +3, or exert an Eagle to make Gandalf strength +3.

”’Farewell!’ they cried, ‘wherever you fare, till your eyries receive you at the journey’s end!’”

Nice, but yeah. He should cost a little more.

| it needs 7 at least. maybe even 8. you have a treebeard companion without a major drawback and with defender +1. |

Gwaihir is great now he’s . I’d make the event as an exertion is a high cost.

I’d remove the damage +1 part, so it would say: "Fellowship: Exert Gwaihir twice to play an Eagle from your draw deck. That Eagle is strength +2 until the end of the turn." Very nice card otherwise!

This is cool, and unique. Quite a feat, with the 50 other people making The Hobbit DC’s with Gwaihir flying around.

Nice! Probably doesn’t need to be Rare, though. I mean, there’s a common for +5, damage +1, with an exertion cost... |

I would give him an 5 vitality but then give him a drawback such as extra twilight cost.

Maybe lower the cost to , but it’s probably fine as it is.
