This thread is part of the January LOTR TCG Card Giveaway.

The Prize:
A foil Guard of the White Tree, promo card 0 P 107, commemorating the release of the Bloodlines set.

The Challenge:
Design one or more dream cards titled "Guard of the [Colored] [Thing]." (For example, Guard of the Black Gate, Guard of the Red Eye, Guard of the Golden Hall, etc.) Post your cards here.

On January 3rd at midnight CST, a poll will be added to this thread for voting, and the dream card author with the most total votes will win the foil Guard of the White Tree.

Roaming-4
Each spell you play is twilight cost -1.
Each time you play a spell, you may exert Saruman to make him strength +2 and make the Free Peoples player wound the Ring-bearer or add a burden.

6 Guard of the Black Land Orc
Minion • Orc
Strength-10
Vitality-3
Roaming-4
Enduring.
While this minion is bearing a possession, each Orc minion is strength +2.

I think using the "Guard of..." line as a subtitle will work just fine.

Votes will be cast for authors, not necessarily for individual card ideas. I’ll leave it up to the community whether they want to think about the single best card, or the author who makes the best overall contribution. Either way, multiple submissions are welcome, and can only help your odds. Very Happy

If you have more dream cards in mind, or want to do several cards in a series, please edit them into your original post.

Resistance • 6
To play spot a Rohan companion. While this companion bears a Hand weapon, each Valiant companion is strength +1.
The Golden hall was well guarded

2 Pippin, Guard of the White City Gondor
Strength • 5
Vitality • 4
Resistance • 8
Skirmish: Exert Pippin to make a Gondor man strength +1 (or strength +2 if he is skirmishing an orc). While you can spot Gandalf, Pippin is strength +1.

Maneuver: Exert once to reinforce a Shire token.
Response: If a Shadow token is about to be placed, remove a Shire token to prevent it.

There’s only one Dragon in Bywater, and that’s Green.

Samwise is Strength +X, where X is the number of Hobbits in the dead pile.
Maneuver: Exert Samwise once to make the Ring-Bearer Resistance +X until the end of the Regroup phase, where X is the number of Hobbits in the dead pile.

Watcher in the Water is strength +1 for each tentacle you can spot. While the fellowship is at a marsh, tentacles cannot take wounds except during skirmishes.

For each other Ranger you can spot Guard of the Greenwood is Resistance +1
