How playable is Blade of the White Hand?

The Uruk-hai Uruk-hai culture has always had the ability to control sites, but very few cards that would actually make it worthwhile. Rise of Saruman seems to be filling in that gap, so watch out for the next generation of Uruk site control decks after the RoS release!

Blade of the White Hand starts out as garbage, unfortunately. With two sites controlled, it becomes a good card. Not outstanding (compare Violent Hurl), but good. With four sites controlled, it becomes game-endingly good unless your opponent has the right sort of Armor around! Definitely worth playing in an Uruk site control deck.

Damage +4 and strength +1 for 1 twilight? Sounds good to me!

Unfortunately, if drawn at the early sites, it’s use is greatly diminished. There is no possession-recursion for the Uruk-hai culture, but luckily the weapon is still decent if you control just 2 sites (which is possible even at site 3!).

You do not know pain, anyone? Say you run crazy site control, like chasing uruk and other minions that seize sites. Maybe liberate a couple to increase damage bonus. (without liberating enough to cancel the uruk’s damage +3 ability.) But most uruks are damage +1 anyway. So, damage +4 with the option of liberating sites to increase the damage? And I though Gandalf/Narya/Gandalf’s Staff was tough to kill Twisted Evil

Why would liberating sites increase the damage? and Ac you have to control 2 for the first one to kick in. Its OK especially if you control 4 sites and drop lurtz. But I mean you aren’t going to need damage +5 to kill the companion generally +3 would do the job. So I think thy went a little overboard.

You Do Not Know Pain combo. You Do Not Know Pain allows you to liberate a site to increase damage.

Goody. The uruk site controlling strategy meets a good effect. As AC pointed, it cannot be of much use if drawn too early, but a beast equipped with this a bit later can cause some real damage.
