Stampeding Hillsman could occasionally be useful, depending on how this new support-area possession decktype turns out. But most of the time it’s a moot point as he’s not likely to survive into the regroup phase. |

Ceremonial armor combo. He would survive until the regroup phase. Then, he can stack the guy right back on it. So, he can be used pretty effectively with Ceremonial armor, to add one to the number of men spotted in the regroup phase. (for rapt hillman, for example).

He won’t have too much trouble surviving till the regroup phase if he gets a Pavise.... the only question is if his ability is worth including in a deck. |

All in all a good component for the new stacking strategy, but i have two objections:
a)spot a card in the discard pile? Thought i couldn’t do that...
b)"Argh?" What a magnificent and purposeful lore.... |

Hmm...we’ll have to see about this guy. The support area possession theme hasn’t been fleshed out enough for me to make a judgement. But he could get really good. Then again, he is only a Common.
I don’t really like the idea of having to use Pavise for this guy, though. |

Pavise on a Stampeding Hillsman would be a waste. There are far better uses for the shield, especially since Mouth of Sauron, Messenger of Mordor and/or Saruman, Coldly Still will probably find their way into this guy’s decktype. Or, if you’re building a low-cost minion swarm deck, you probably shouldn’t be running Pavise anyway.
I won’t argue that this is a totally useless card, I just don’t think it has a home in any sort of competitive deck. There are so many better options available. |
