This card is basically a new twist on Ulaire Otsea, Seventh of the Nine Riders. I generally like this one better. Outside of Morgul Orc decks, which can directly wound a high-vitality Ring-bearer, it’s usually easier to spot many woNOLINKunded companions than to spot one severely wounNOLINKded companion. Additionally, you get to draw all the cards, not just the Wraith-culture cards, which is nice for multi-cultural Shadow decks, or simply for having more end-of-turn discarding possibilities. You do have to spot another Nazgul to benefit from the card-drawing text, but Otsea is cheap enough that it shouldn’t be a problem.

Ulaire Otsea, Duplicitous Specter’s regroup ability looks nice on paper but will probably be very difficult to pull off. That’s all right though, he’s a great card even without it!

If his Shadow ability didn’t spot another Nazgul, he would make a great splash. Unfortunately, it does have to spot another Nazgul, so he will mostly be limited to Wraith decks. I could see him replacing Ulaire Otsea, Seventh of the Nine Riders in Morc decks - I run a Morc deck myself, and there are wounds flying onto all the companions.

The regroup ability is hard to pull of, but is very strong when you can do it. It also can cycle quite nicely.

Why his decrease in stats? 2 vitality instead of 3 vitality? Thats kinda weird.

Combo, ring + shadow mount. And maybe a pump or 2. It would still be hard to upll off, but with the card drawing ability feasible. Another combo if you have lots of twilight, ulaire Enquea, SotNR wound every companion draw cards, play otsea with the aforementioned combo, and add 3 burdens in regroup.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

Gates of the dead city. On a fellowship breaking the rule of 5. Can you say, "ouch"?

Combo him with a massive exerting/corruption Nazgul deck, and he will easily draw 3-4 card during the shadow phase, maybe up to 9. Twisted Evil

This card is extremely powerful, maybee even broken. Forest Nazgul with this minion will be even more strong.
Anyone who played forest Nazguls or against Forest Nazguls know it is not hard to play 5 or more Nazguls, after that there will be lot of wounded companions.
Imagine this situation: your oponent is brave enough to play 6 or more companions, you play two Nazgul, Then comes Enquea from Bloodlines to exert all companions, then Otsea and pool 6 or more cards.

Well, this guy is a good combo with neekerbreeker’s bog, but i’d rather use thrall of the one, no thank you. I will refrain to reffering to the other ability...

Wow, with Neekerbreekers’, this guy is incredible. I can’t believe the power of his cycling ability. Just imagine Nazgul swarm now! Not to mention that you can set up your Fellowship incredibly well...and Drawing His Eye just lost some of its power.

An excellent card, and I can see the regroup ability working.
