Here’s my Ranger/Morgul archery that really kills!

Here’s my deck I am currently using:

Starting Fellowship:

boromir, bearer of council
the one ring, the ring of rings
faramir, captain of gondor
aragorn, strider
gondorian prowler
madril, faramir’s aide

Free peoples:(34 cards)
ancient roads x3
ranger’s bow x2
arrows thick in the air x3
much needed rest x2
boromir, my brother
hardy garrison x3
banner of westernesse x3
sapling of the white tree x3
gondor bowmen
pippin, wearer of black and silver (elvish)
gondorian blade x3
houses of healing
citadel of the stars
swordsmen of the northern kingdom x3

Shadow: (34 cards)
gorbag, covetous captain x2
sauron’s gaze
streaming to the field x3
ulaire lemenya, assailing minion
captured by the ring x4
morgul squealer
gothmog, morgul commander x2
morgul ambusher x4
morgul lurker x4
ulaire cantea, faster than winds x2
morgul creeper x3
heavy burden
flung into the fray x2
ulaire attea, black predator
gollum, nasty treacherous creature
fat one wants it
ulaire otsea, seventh of the nine riders

Strategy:

Free peoples:

Bid 0-2. This free peoples side mostly focuses on wounding heavily by losing initiative and arrows thick in the air really helps with roaming minion. It also has great healing ability with houses of healing, much needed rest, and gondorian blade pumps up your Gondor

companions. Pippin, wearer of black and silver, is used for later game, especially when the minions are roaming. gondorian prowler can exert to make minions another +2 site number to make them roaming again. He really helps when ancient roads hasn’t been gotten out yet. citadel of the stars kills off exhausted minions (like the balrog, or some big annoying minions), and swordsmen of the northern kingdom helps win skirmishes to deal out even more damage. boromir, my brother is for +1 vitality for Faramir, and also helps win skirmishes with it’s game text.

Shadow:

A basic Morc archery deck that deals out a ton of wounds. sauron’s gaze prevents special abilities, and combined with ulaire attea, black predator, it really hurts! morgul lurker, morgul ambusher, and morugl creeper are one of the most important cards in this build. ulaire cantea, faster than winds adds threats for morgul ambusher, streaming to the field aids morgul creeper, and gothmog, morgul commander. flung into the fray recycles Gothmog.

Weaknesses:

Morgul Archery: Morgul archery really hurts this deck, especially when they add burdens and you can’t use much needed rest.
Corrupting builds: Corrupting is probably the worst matchup in this deck. I have no resistance boosting, or burden removal (I could stick in scroll of isildur and home and hearth, but I don’t know what to take out, plus Pippin, wearer of black and silver is in the later game scenario)

I think that is all of its weaknesses. Please tell me your advice on weaknesses because feedback is appreciated.

I love Morgul Archery! Because it practically forces your opponent to assign archery to someone other than the RB. Add in an extra two copies of Gothmog, maybe another Streaming to the Field. I just had time to skim it, I’ll look at it in detail later.

I like Gollum, Nasty Treacherous Creature but Gollum, Dark as Darkness would make Gorbag more effective.

Maybe, but gollum, Nasty Treacherous Creature can exert basically any companion by discarding him in the regroup phase. Besides, I don’t have gollum, dark as darkness...*sigh*

if you wanted to add stuff, you could probably cut a sapling of the white tree, and the CoTS. otherwise looks good to me.

Okay, I have time now to review it. Where’s IB? Or at least What Are They

Madril, DoO would be better than Faramir’s Aide, and you need to get Aragorn’s Bow, Ranger’s Longbow.

Or is IB banned in your club?

Anyway, since you’re running six companions (I know, not usually, but at any given time, greed or Shotgun Enquea is enough to blast you), I recommend starting an additional three Gondorian Prowlers.

The reason I don’t have IB in my deck, is ’cuz my deck mostly focuses upon wounding.

I think you mentioned home and hearth and scroll of isildur for resistance issues.
