Beast of War could be a great card with some threats on the table... Unfortunately I’m not aware of any way for Men to get enough threats out there on their own.
I’ll reserve judgment until later in case I’ve missed something that you guys can point out, but for now I’m thinking that the last two lines are just meant to be very unlikely to kick in. Still a decent card for a culture that’s emphasizing possessions more and more... Could combo well with a Gollum splash too. |

Dunlendings can ride on Mumaks!
If the culture doesn’t get many threat-adding cards in RoS, Ulaire Lemenya, Eternally Threatening is an easy way to add ’em.
When Beast of War plays itself from the discard pile, does it have to be during the Shadow phase? Because it doesn’t say what phase to do it in, so I’m think you might be able to do it at any time (which would be awesome!). |

All Shadow possessions are played during the Shadow phase unless they specifically say otherwise. |
All cards do what they say. |

Now that would be some awesome lore!
I can’t believe how powerful this card is, especially with the new possessions... |

I just noticed that as well. Vengeful Wild Man is a solid threat-adding minion that will definitely see some play, and that means those last two lines of text that can make Beast of War really fantastic will be kicking in a lot more often! |
