In an Evil Men deck, this card adds one threat guaranteed, and against a typical five-companion fellowship he’ll add two. Against larger fellowships he becomes even more efficient! After exerting, he’s a 6/1 minion who probably won’t be causing any wounds the old-fashioned way; but with all those skirmish events and possessions floating around, you neNOLINKver know.
So Vengeful Wild Man provides a couple threats, some large-fellowship deterrence, and a small minion body. None of these effects are spectacular, but get them all for just twilight and you’ve got a really solid card. |

A magnificent minion! A sure way to add a threat for any man shadow, useful either for archery (obvious), OR, Bill Ferny decks! Long live Mumaksessssss! |

I like to draw a distinction between cards that are "spectacular" (think Sauron, The Lord of the Rings) and cards that are "efficient" (think Double Shot). Of course, some cards can be both, and many cards are neither.
But that’s just semantics... Whatever your choice of words, both Vengeful Wild Man and Beast of War are great cards. I gave them a 4 and a 5 respectively. |

Speaking of which, Sauron, The Lord of the Rings can now be splashed into evil man threat decks.
And I really think that this is probably better than Sauron. Of course, there are tons of cards better than sauron. If you run a massive threat/burden/besieger site control deck, than Sauron is good, otherwise, not that efficient and therefore not good.

Awesome card! Very similar to War Towers, but in a minion form.
The one thing I don’t like about him is the fact that, if you can spot another minion, you have to exert him to add the threats, which could be dangerous against an IB deck (and it could also be plain useless if threats are maxed out). There are times when you could want to save his vitality to play cards like Elevated Fire.
And speaking of Elevated Fire, this minion is great in an archery deck! Very cheap, can add a ton of threats, and is the perfect non-archer minion to play Long Battle Bow on. The fun thing about threats and archery is that if the Freeps is using the Ruling Ring, then they can’t turn threat wounds into burdens, which can result in a quick death against an exhausted fellowship. |

Indeed...it actually adds one more threat than War Towers. I like this guy, and comboed with Beast of War, he’s a beast!! Just imagine him with Pavise and Beast of War!! |

Both War Towers and Vengeful Wild Man add one threat, plus one for each companion over four, I believe.
Pavise neNOLINKver hurts, but just for the record it wouldn’t help the Wild Man add any more threats. It’s an "at the start of the maneuver phase" ability, not a "Maneuver:" ability, so it’s triggered only once per maneuver phase. |
