Pretty lame picture for a throne... Looks to me like the Dark Lord is standing up.
The first ability looks rather powerful until you consider what it takes to get Sauron into play. If you manage to play Sauron and a couple more strong minions at the same site, I’m betting on you to win the game with or without that extra damage bonus.
I find the last sentence a lot more interesting. Splash Throne of the Dark Lord to help out any resistance haNOLINKte Shadow, or in any deck at all to set up Neekerbreeker’s Bog. Time the Bog right and you’ll typically adds 4-5 wounds to the opposing fellowship while healing your own... I’d play this card just to get access to that combo! |

I never thought about that combo. sweet. Anyway another artifact, *sigh* but its got a sweet pic even if it doesn’t make sense. Saruman, dlom would be a nice splash with beatdown Uruks Damage +2.Ow. |

Not always. I think this card works best with Sauron, Dark Lord of Mordor: splash him into a swarm (or even a slightly swarmish-beatdown deck), and suddenly all your other minions become mini-wrecking machines. |

Splash throne of the dark lord anywhere, and you suddenly have low resistance companions. And if you run a corruption deck, this also lowers the RB’s resistance. Along with other resistance lowering cards, maybe corrupting the RB without adding any burdens period?
And say you swarm with a bunch of vitality 2 minions. In region 3, 5 cheap minons exerted once plays Sauron, Dark Lord of Mordor for twilight cost 1, in region two, it takes 8. If your oponent is forced to throw the swarming minions on defender + companions, they stand a good chance of winning, and inflict at least 3 wounds.
Splash the throne and Sauron, Dark Lord of Mordor in any swarm that runs 2+ vitality minions, and your opponents will have a pretty big problem on their hands. |

This card could be the game-breaker Rather than playing Sauron, I was thinking of combo with Covetous Wisp and Undead of Angmar - just put 2 copies of each in any corruption deck. Play Mount Doom, then The Throne, then Neekerbreekers’ Bog with 2 wraiths and you’re done |

You’re right C, it doesn’t look like a throne...

Indeed, an excellent use! This card has very low cultural enforcement...
This artifact could be very deadly. Especially if comboed with cards like Ulaire Cantea, Black Assassin...
And Neeker is a great idea too!
Undead of Angmar + Gollum, Dark as Darkness + Throne of the Dark Lord is killer-minus 4 resistance for the Ring-bearer!! And if the Fellowship moves into Courtyard Parapet...ouchness! |

Also, you can splash this on ANY deck, just spotting two minions, and make it so that at the very last site, that very same crucial moment for the game, kaboom, -2 Resistance for the R-b. Basically speaking, you’re spending 2 twilight ANYTIME during the game AND "adding 2 burdens" at the end. If you can bear to slap Mount Doom as site 9, they’ll never see it coming! You can actually win a game by playing a site! Cool! |

besides morgoth, souron never really follows anyone. but hey, this card kills in corruption. but the cool thing is, it works for any corruption deck. |
