Orophin’s brother is an identical twin except in the bonus he gets from spotting wounNOLINKded minions. Would you rather have a 9-strength skirmisher, or a 7-strength archer?
I’d say the answer is about as obvious as it looks. If you’re running an archery deck, go with Rumil, Silvan Elf. You’ll have no problem activating Rumil’s text in time for his archery shot to be counted, and an extra arrow can be game-breaking. Otherwise, go with Orophin, Silvan Elf. When minions are staying healthy until the skirmish phase, Orophin is strictly better.
Both cards will certainly see play as part of a mono-Elven archery strategy. It looks like we’ve got the starting fellowship for one of the new starter decks too! |

It makes me want to want to use him instead of the old Rumil in my archery deck. My elf telepathy allows Legolas, of the Grey Company to wound a minion, then you stick a Naith Longbow on Rumil and exert a minion with an archery wound... |

Yep, I agree. An archery deck should have a slightly easier time making the new Rumil an archer, and when that does happen you get an extra strength +1 and hunter 1. So the new Rumil looks significantly better than the old one, even without considering his ability when used with other hunters. |

I just can’t believe how good just your basic Elves are in this set, compared to your basic men. this guy is 2 twilight, 6 strength and very easily 8 and archer, compared to 6 strength easily 7, but for 3 twilight and an OK ability.
This guy is just sweet. |

Wow. Nothing but good cards lately from Decipher. It’s like we’ve gone back in time a couple years!
This one gets a 5 from me. I see a lot of Rumil and Orophin in decks in the future.... |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Unless you are playing against exhausted minions (Dunland, Moria) he will always be able to be an archer for the cost of an exertion and a threat. All that needs to happen is run a fair amount of healing and threat removal. |

Yeah, no misspells... ...Look at his "flavor text". It doesn’t make sense and it is absolutely horrible to see it as a sentence. It is more like a dumped subtitle. No quotation marks, not really that story related and my first impression, when I first saw it, was like: " Where’s the rest of this sentence? Was there a copy and paste malfunction or what? " Come on guys this "flavor text" really stinks.
If you can relieve me from this pain or explain its meaning as a normal "flavor text", please do so. |

my guess is they wanted to expand on his sub-title. |
