Another thing. Orcrist should be one heck of a possession, but you should have to spot Elrond to play it (making it even harder to land), after all, HE was the one who identified the sword as orcrist, wasn’t he? |

Well, this card would probably be a little more obvious with an image, but at first, I didn’t realize it was a Shadow possession. When I reread, and saw fierce is when I figured it out.
That makes it much better, but because of that, I think the response ability would be clearer (although very minorly better) like this:
Response: If the Ring-bearer put on The One Ring, transfer this possession to Gollum.
As a Shadow card, this is much more balanced than a Free Peoples card (I was reading it as ’If the Ring-bearer puts on The One Ring, spot Gollum to transfer this possession to the Ring-bearer’ - the only thing that would make it possibly balanced is the fact it requires a specific minion).

Is he intended as a Ring-bearer (from the subtitle, it seems so)? If so, he needs Ringed Resistance.
And if so, what happens to him at strength 14? I think there was something that had to be clarifyed to say that the Ring-bearer couldn’t be discarded, but I don’t remember for sure...
If I’m correct on both parts, I think he’s too strong of a Ring-bearer, with nothing different but the base Resistance between him being a Ring-bearer and a normal companion. |
