The new Enquea offers his own take on condition removal, exerting twice to discard 1-2 conditions. Play a Ring of Rancor on him, and you can exhaust him to discard 2-4 conditions! Ulaire Enquea, Duplicitous Lieutenant looks like a solid card that will definitely see some play.

The burden-adding text is interesting. I can only think of a few cards (most significantly Nenya, Ring of Adamant) that heal companions after the fellowship phase, and if the Free People’s player is afraid of burdens, he’ll simply wait to use those cards at another site where Enquea isn’t snooping around. So generally his burden-adding ability won’t be very useful.

It does beg for combos to be found, though. Cool Here’s one: Ulaire Enquea, Duplicitous Lieutenant + Neekerbreekers’ Bog. A double-move could be real bad news for the fellowship, as each companion will either exert, or heal and add a burden.

Nice card. Will see play for its second ability, and if you really want to stop some healing, pull him out on a exhausted fellowship. Here’s a combo, Gates of the Dead City x 4. Heal that companion, you get a burden and 4 exertions. Any better deterrent? (Or pull it over on an extremely stupid opponent).

Simple, powerful, and hurts lots of different fellowships. In other words, a classic Enquea. Very Happy

This gets a 4 from me, though it’s on the border between that and a 5. Good card.

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

ditto NBarden, but anyway his condition removal is quite nice, and with no cultural reinforcement, can be splashed in a wide variety of decks.

whoa, this is extremely powerful, i see some real dangers for any fellowship with him on the loose. a hearty 5 from me!

and enquea seems even more powerful than the great witch-king himself. often better abilities for less twilight. too bad you can’t play 4 copies of this enquea, enquea TotO and LoM in the same deck. alas.

Does Fates Entwined trigger this burden adding?

I was wondering whether, during the move, fellowship is moving as a whole or companions are moving one-by-one. If the latter, moving to Neekerbreekers’ Bog with this Enquea could be quite interesting Shocked

and yes - burden adding IS trigerred by Fates Entwined, same with The Gaffer, Master Gardener
another thing I was thinking of - whether Trap Is Sprung can trigger Enquea’s text? What does ’Free Peoples player heals’ mean? Think It must result from FP card text or sanctuary healing? If so, Neekerbreekers’ doesn’t work, same as Trap Is sprung

Yes it does. For every heal made by fates entwined.

I think it refers to any method used by the Free Peoples player themselves, such as conditions or events, etc. If this is the case, then you are correct about Neekerbreekers’ Bog. However, it will be interesting if it does work with Shadow cards, because you could play Trap is Sprung to add a load of burdens. Ouch.

Overall, a great card that really lives up to its name. I give it a 4.

i am pretty sure trap is sprung does not work with this minion, because the shadow player would be doing the healing, not the freeps player.
