So, what are resources? I took the tutorial, and it appears that resources are quests, and when you complete a quest you flip it but it continues to be used as a resource. Am I correct?

You can place any card from your hand facedown in the resource area, IIRC. And yes, face-up quests can be used as resources. Resources are how you pay for card costs.

Okay, so are there any ways to use a card that’s being used as a resource? Or do you just lose that card (except as a resource.)

No, the original text of the card doesnt apply anymore. Its just a face-down card that work as a recourse.
