| If Little Snuffler is used in region 1, does the Shadow player get to pick which companion takes a wound? |

Yes. It doesn’t say that the Free Peoples player chooses, so since you’re the one carrying out the action you get to choose.
This makes for an easy region 1 kill with Saved From the Fire on Smeagol.

| I believe the answer is yes. Unless it says "to let the Free Peoples player choose", then the action is taken by the Shadow player who owns that card. |

You know... if you could pull off a  / // runner with decent site manipulation, and get to a site 4 Falls of Rauros on your first turn, this could be very dangerous (except for a Frodo+Sam RB)...
