My friend is starting to play LotR and he wants to build an Oathbreaker / Morgul Orc and Nazgul deck on a budget. Like, $5. He has some cards already, like sleepless dead, oathbreaker, Dead Man of Dunharrow, so you can probably go with $7 - $8.
Any ideas? |

Then he might just want to use a cheaper Shadow, such as Raiders. Raiders can be amazing without any rares. |

He has a tons of Morcs already, just none of the rares. He was looking more for the beatdown Morcs instead of corruption. Like the ones that spot possessions to make themselves fierce. He also has Houses of Lamentation, Morgul Axe, etc.
He’s trying to get a complete Nazgul beatdown shadow, but I don’t think that is that feasible for under $5, especially since he needs a FP as well. |

Well, technically if you’re trying to make a deck, you’ll need at least 71 cards and since each card costs at least $0.10 it’ll cost at least $7.1, which is already more than the $5 he wants to spend.
Of course, he already does have some cards, but since it’s impossible to know exactly which ones he has it’s rather difficult to figure out how expensive to make the deck.

Here is a list of cards he would probably want for the oathbreakers.
2x Swept Away
2x Stronger and More Terrible
6-8x skirmish pumps that work on companions, NOT gondor men.
2-3x End of the Game
2x Sleepless Dead
1x Shadow Host
2x Cursed of Erech
1x King of the Dead, oathbreaker
3x Spectral Sword
plus other gondor stuff...
Keep in mind this is of the top of my head.
I will try to post my oathbreaker deck later. |

Thanks!
I’ve been working with him on the shadow side, and here’s what we got. Slightly expensive, but he’s willing to pay it if he doesn’t need to spend much on his FP.
Morgul Brawler x 4
Morgul Vanguard x 4
Morgul Regiment x 4
Morgul Detachment
Ulaire Enquea, Ringwraith in Twilight x 4
Ulaire Otsea, Lieutenant of Morgul x 4
Morgul Axe x 4
Houses of Lamentation x 4
Riders in black x 4
War Long Planned x 4
Total: $9.80, not including cards he has already (4x Morgul Axe, 2x Otsea, 4x Houses of Lamentation)
Pure beatdown. Any thoughts? |
