um, just out of curiosity, where is Gil-galad, Elven High King, i mean, he’s the best wounding companion except for Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien
also Grimbeorn is to low
Aragorn is to low
you have gildor, where is brand?
i cant remember the last time i saw a deck that had sam, steadfast friend
id prefer to go with frodo of the nine fingers and the ring of doom and MAYBE sam, son of hamfast |

Gil-galad, Elven High King, is not at all a splash companion.
I mean, come on, the guy says "to play, spot two companions"!!! |

Number of points on you list. Get rid of Pippin, WoBaS. He isn’t a splash companion. Pippin, Hobbit of Some intelligence- 14? You gotta be kidding... Also, Merry, Friend to Sam should be like number 2...
This is a good article. But it seems to be copied from AC’s minion splash article.
Anyway, give some decks that effectively use splashes and examples in which you would need one... |

Ok, I’ve edited the article. Grimbeorn, Derufin, and Thorongil get moved up.
The reason Gandalf is at the top is because he’s the most "splashable" not because he’s the best card out there. Who wouldn’t think that Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien is better? Gandalf works for every type of deck, whereas Eowyn goes for wounding.
Edit: Nbarden, this article is my original work. Of course, AC’s format may have inspired it a bit, and no one has written on splashing companions. |

Popcorn is not gooey like fat, and also not crunchy like potato chips, but crispy like lettuce which makes it a healthy snack. |
