Fierce companions. Could they work?
Discuss. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

I don’t think they would work. Maybe, though, a fierce companion would disable a minion’s fierce. |
I had to put something here. |

I think the closest we’ve come so far is Loud and Strong. |

How about lurker companions?
I’m just wondering about weird things that could be done with old-fashioned keywords. Things that haven’t been done before. |

Sounds better.
How about an enduring companion? |

Got ’em already: Wraiths. Enduring actually came about as a companion-centered keyword first, didn’t it?
So would lurker companions work the same way as lurker minions? Would there be any real reason for a companion to HAVE lurker? |

Yes, but I mean more companions with enduring.
Regarding a lurker companion, it seems unnecessary since the FP player chooses the order of the skirmishes anyway. |

True, true. It’s a pretty powerful keyword, yes, but I’m mildly surprised it hasn’t shown up on a companion since the King block. Hey, I’m VERY surprised we haven’t seen any wraiths since then, either!
Enduring seems to be a keyword Decipher has abandoned in the post-Shadows days. I wonder why? |

No reason for lurker except as a drawback text.
Fierce, that could work. Like you could assign another minions to him for more. Like damage +1 on Gollum. He’s gonna slam me with an Unseen Foe! Oh well, BAM.
That would be interesting, actually. Fierce means that after assignment and skirmishes, assign a minion to skirmish that companion.
Fierce hobbits could be disastrous, however... |
