who would win? a ranger or an elf? (sword combat)
i say the ranger would. elves are good, but the rangers are much better swords men. IMO
who would win? Ranger or an elf? (archery)
i say it would be a close tie. the elf might win depending on the bow type. |

As far as sword combat goes, it would depend on wether they were using long swords, short swords, or just plain daggers. But, i'd probably say a ranger
Archery: an elf... hands down. |

1. Rangers
2. Elves, but I like ranger archery better because you can choose.

Well, the Elf would try a couple of fancy moves, and the ranger would be knocked down, then would get up and use his roughness to beat back the Elf, or the Elf would kill. The Elves have had a long time to hone their skills. (like 3000+ years).
In archery, the Elf would run really fast a coulple hundred yards away from the ranger (out of the ranger's range. [that was redundant]). And shoot a single arrow, killing the ranger. |

the rangers are a group that get the job done. elves are to fancy. they think "hey i have about x thousand years i to get good." where the rangers only have x hundred so they have to have the way that is most effective, so that they can die of old age not being killed.
archery is another matter. rangers can "keep from being seen" and they learn how to use the nature around them to help hide from archery. if you think about it, the elves need their cloaks to hide them, but rangers can use the area around them to hide. it would be hard for the elf to hit a ranger. IMO |

no i think it would be hard fo rthe elf to hit the ranger, but the elf would win archery hands down. ranger i still think would win in sword play. |
