DáinIronfoot wrote: Not very good at making full decklists, but Citadel to Gate makes for an awesome combo with Shadowfax, Greatest of the Mearas. Yeah, it adds a lot of twilight, but splash Gandalf and that Shadowfax in with a bunch of, say, Hobbits, and you’ve got awesome anti-corruption AND healing power. Then some cards like Make Haste, Straining Towards Us, and Meant to Be Alone can help reduce all that twilight.
I dunno. Just random ideas. if you can come up with a full decklist using the new Gandalf and/or the new Shadowfax.
For now, a 5 for a very nice article. Really ties all those new RoS ideas together into one place. Good work!
whoah thats a sweet idea dain! a Gp immediately! |

Actually, the Aragorn works best in the Rohan fighting RB deck. He isn’t a great splash companion, since no other decks have a strategy that encourages the Ring-bearer to fight. Eowyn’s text rocks, and Theoden not only has a hunter 1 bonus for companions while the Ring-bearer is assigned to a skirmish, but also anti-site control text. Therefore, Theoden gets 2nd prize for Rohan.

Great article AP agree with most of it as well. Only thing id pick up on is the ring of terror is better than ring of savagery surely? Taking any nazgul card back and adding dmg +1 to a gul is great.
Apart from that it’s a very useful article to refer to when making decks to insure you don’t miss something obvious or important.

Ring of Terror is good, but Ring of Savagery gives a strength bonus, plus adds a burden or exerts a companion each time bearer wins a skirmish.
