Okay, so we all know that the Orc culture is getting very insane with their overpowered and non-culturally reinforced cards. What can be done to make the culture less broken?

My opinion, Orkish Smith has got to go. He is the keystone to the entire culture, and with him gone, the culture will be powerful, but nowhere near as broken.
All cards do what they say.

Orkish Smith and Frenzy of Arrows should be X-ed IMO. Smile
I had to put something here.

The Smith has to go.
Frenzy of Arrows should go, too.
And I would not be upset to see the Lackey and Destroyers and Usurpers disappear, too.

After that, they shouldn’t be so broken. Maybe a few more should go, but the Smith really must be X-ed.

Much as I hate to say it, since I use him myself. (use, not abuse...)

Edit: NO LINK’d "hate"

Where’s the ban the Orc culture button?

Banning Goblin Hordes would bring down the Orc culture. I think that we need to ban Orkish Smith and Gothmog. Frenzy of Arrows should be restricted, because if not abused, it can be a good enforcer. But 4 copies a turn is to easy and to powerful.

If we ban the smith and Gothmog and restrict Frenzy of Arrows, I think that the Orc culture will be balanced enough.

Oh yeah, the Lackey. Cool card, but begging to be broken. It needs to go.

Went for the smith, though i dont ever want to play against frenzy of arrows and i will flatly refuse to face anyone using destroyers and ursurpers.

Voted for the smith, but, like lem0nhead, I think it will take more than just that to balance Orc

Excuse me for saying this but why is everyone complaining so much about Gothmog. There is no way this dude is broken or needs to be x-listed, if you want to ban him then you might as well throw in Mumak Commander, Giant Among the Swertings because he is just about as good (or better)! There are ways to counter Gothmog, and I will admit, he is pretty darn good, but not close to x-list material. Why don’t we start being pro-active ourselves and think of good defenses and strategies against the Orc culture?

I do agree, though, that something besides Demoralized needs to be x-ed or r-ed. I think r-ing Frenzy of Arrows would be an excellent idea. hmmm.

What about the Orc Miscreant/Gothmog auto-corrupt combo?

That is nasty, but not broken. It takes quite a bit of twilight to pull, and is completely stopped if you can kill gothmog before regroup.

20 twilight left. Now run a hybrid Raider ambush (Raider Bow comes to mind) / Orc deck and you should have the twilight.

Not to mention that Orc swarm can add tons of twilight. Especially in expanded with the Demoralized / Rallying Orc combo.

A defiled Charge as well.

Or just Forced March some ents Twisted Evil
