Couldn’t they have just reprinted Lembas? Rolling Eyes

But I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever really noticed how good Lembas is (and now NOLINK Lembas Bread as well). Reconciling your hand is always good, and you can have 4 copies in play which means that you can cycle through your deck nicely.

Here’s a combo: use Lembas x4, and Lembas Bread x4 along with a card like Ranger of Osgiliath to cycle through your draw deck, giving you the best 8 Shadow cards. Sweet!

4 for playability.

Just for humor’s sake, I’d like to build a deck with Fatty, then run a whole slew of Lembas and Lembas Bread, making sure they’re all on him.

When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Who am I?

The slight downgrade from the original Lembas is a little disappointing, but Lembas Bread is definitely a playable card. 4.

I thought that at first too, but the original Lembas requires spotting 3 Elves, whereas this one is only 2. Minor difference, but I think it actually balances out pretty well.

I give it a 4. I think it could actually be better than the original in sets that don’t focus chiefly around Elves.

And at least they didn’t change it to a condition. Laughing

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Well, I mean 2 main differences...

To play:
3 Elves (Lembas) or 2 Elven companions (Lembas Bread)

Twilight cost:
1 (Lembas) or 2 (Lembas Bread)

So, for +1 twilight, we need one less Elf, but they must both be companions. So, a differently splashable version - if you can’t get the number of Elves, but can get the two Elven companions, you can get Lembas Bread.
Our time here is ending...

How lame, stupid, and...bleah. JUST REPRINT THE OLD LEMBAS! Come on...

Why not use the old one? Cheaper.

Oh, but now you can cram 8 copies in a deck. Hm...

Still lame.
