How exactly does that work? does it cancel all the wounds within a phase, all the wounds that are being placed at that moment, etc? (ie, if the RB wore the ring to prevent Red Wrath, and lost the skirmish, would they take two more burdens, or would the earlier ones cover it?)

Wording seems a bit odd. It does what you want it to do, but still sounds weird. I think you could still say "If the R-b is about to take any number of wounds..." because the "until the the end of the current phase" part would still do the same thing.

Seems okay. The ability is a little focused on stealth cards, but the strenght and resistance boost, as well as the easy way to put it on, would still make it usefull in other decks. I like it.
