Alright, I’m doing it.
However, because it is different than LotR I had to make a few minor changes. And I made some bigger ones, just to be interesting.
Ring-bearer has become Hero (tell me if you can think of something better, though.)
The Ring has become The Curse of Morgoth
The Fellowship has become the Company.
The two "big" changes were:
1. The FP player can control sites.
2. Unique Events. Unique events are events which may only be used once per game. They go in a sort of "dead pile for events" after use. Only Valar events will be unique.
The cultures:
Dwarven:
Edain:
Elven:
Evil Men:
Gaurwaith:
Morgoth/Sauron:
Orc:
Valar:
Valar is because that’s what seemed to be the best match, since Gandy was sent by the Valar originally, so it would be a sort of "subculture" of Valar. Note: I’m not going to actually have the Valar; that would be broken. I will have a few cards which represent the interference of the Valar (the unique events) and the Eagles will also be Valar culture.
So, I’ll get started with just Turin and the Curse.
Turin, Son of Hurin
Companion – Man
Strength 6
Vitality 3
Ringed Resistance 9
While Turin is your hero, each time the company moves, add or a burden.
Skirmish: Exert Turin twice and discard a card from hand to make him strength +4.
“‘I shall go as a soldier with an Elf-King, as soon as I am able.’”
^This Turin has a weaker strength and higher resistance than others will, because it represents when he was much younger.
The Curse of Morgoth, Pursuing Fate
Vitality +1
Response: If bearer is about to take a wound, you may add a burden to fall under the Curse until the regroup phase.
While under the Curse, each time bearer is about to take a wound, add a burden instead.
“‘Beyond the Circles of the World I shall not pursue them…. But within them they shall not escape me…’” |

Looking forward to the set!
Turin is cool as hero, but he’s a bit good for 0-cost companion.
The Curse of Morgoth is fine too, but a bit weak in comparison to D’s rare rings. |

Yeah the ring needs a bit more but cool idea otherwise. I agree with WLC that you need to make him cost so if he isnt the hero he costs.
Make some morgoth cards! Would love to see you design him, will be tough to get it right! |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Actually, he was supposed to cost 2 not 0 anyway...
And yeah, that’s the equivalent of the common Ring |
