0 ●Smeagol, Stoor of the Vale Shire
Companion
Str: 3
Vit: 4
Res: 5
Ring-bound.
To play, exert a Shire character.
Maneuver: Exert Smeagol to make him gain ’Hobbit’ until the end of the turn.

Cool. Great he still has a ’play’ cost, but different from adding a burden. The special skill is nice, I like it, but I’d add another special skill that makes him a better fighter, of give him some other utility.

2 ●Barliman Butterbur, Friend to Gandalf Gandalf
Follower
Res: +2
Aid -2
To play, spot Gandalf.
Bearer gains the Gandalf culture.
Each time Barliman Butterbur is transferred to a Hobbit, you may remove a burden.
Each time Barliman Butterbur is transferred to a Man, you may heal him or her.

Nifty. Works nice with the Shire followers that add burdens. Love this card.

Exert a Gondor character to wound a minion X times where X is the number of cultures that minion has.

Make it cost at least 1. Otherwise a nice idea.

Thanks for your review WLC. I was originally thinking of attaching something like: ’Smeagol is strength +1 for each Shire follower you can spot’ but I decided against it in the end. What do people think?

But the joke with Strong Defences, is that you use it in conjunction with Alliance, spotting a Gondor companion to make a minion gain the Gondor culture, then exerting it to play Strong Defences and wounding it for each culture it has!

I’ll put up one other interesting card, and soon I’ll ask for some help on a couple of cards that I really want but can’t think of good texts for:

6 ● Ulaire Attea, Khamul Men
Minion ● Man
Str: 12
Vit: 3
Sit: 4
Fierce.
Each time Ulaire Attea wins a skirmish, you may discard a Men possession to add a burden or reinforce a Men token.

By the way, does anyone know how to bring up the little accent-things?

Nifty. I think you can get rid of the comma in this case, though.

Nope. I probably should by now, but I don’t. I just copy-n-paste. Razz

It does make me feel better that you can’t write your own name (as I copy it too) Mr. Green

As for Ulaire Attea... actually I really like the combination of Evil Man and Nazgul that is shown... Burdens and stats of a Nazgul, but the Men tokens...
I think it’s fairly balanced. Nice.

Perhaps Rings for them...

0 •Ring of ?, ??? Wraith
Artifact • Ring
Bearer must be a Men Man.
Bearer gains the Wraith culture and is a Nazgul.

(possibly additional text based on the one it’s for?)

I could also see it as a Sauron Artifact...
Our time here is ending...

What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome Smile).

Like that idea a lot! GP

0 •Ring of Corruption Sauron
Artifact • Ring

To play, spot a Sauron or Wraith card.
Bearer must be yout Man.
Bearer loses ’Man’ and gains ’Nazgul’ and the Wraith culture.
Regroup: If a player reconciles, return bearer to your hand.

Letting it be borne by a FP Man is an interesting idea, but right now, it just causes too many potential problems. So I’m going to be a scrooge and say it should be "Bearer must be a Man minion." Sorry ’bout that.

Or maybe just "Bearer must be your Man."?

Changed it to BW’s suggestion, but I liked the idea of corrupting your opponent’s companions!

To finish off a theme:

2 •Moria Shields Orc
Possession • Support Area
While you can spot a Moria Orc, each Orc Orc gains the Moria culture and each Moria Orc gains the Orc culture.
Shadow: Spot 3 Moria Orcs and discard this possession to play a Moria Orc with twilight cost 2 or less from your discard pile.

2 •Mordor Engines Orc
Possession • Support Area
Engine. While you can spot a Besieger Orc, each Orc Orc gains the Sauron culture and ’Besieger’ and each Sauron Orc gains the Orc culture and ’Besieger’.
Regroup: Spot 3 Besiegers and discard this possession to take control of a site.

2 •Warg Pit Orc
Possession • Support Area
Mounted Orcs cannot be exerted.
While you can spot an Isengard Orc, each Orc Orc gains ’Warg-rider’ and the Isengard culture, and each Isengard Orc gains ’Warg-rider’ and the Orc culture.
Each Orc mount gains ’Bearer may be a Warg-rider (regardless of culture).’
Each Isengard mount gains ’Bearer must be strength 10 or less.’

2 •Orthanc Plate Uruk-hai
Possession • Support Area
While you can spot an Isengard Uruk-hai (or Saruman), each Uruk-hai gains the Isengard and Uruk-hai cultures.
Skirmish: Discard this possession to make an Uruk-hai strength +2.

2 •Gollum’s Rags Gollum
Possession • Support Area
Bearer gains the Gollum culture.
Shadow: Exert Smeagol or Gollum to transfer this possession to a minion.
Regroup: Exert bearer to transfer this possession to your support area.
