Yep, I know what you mean. Some guy waltzes in with his invincible Einstein troll and butchers everyone in two seconds.
We could put limits on how much damage one character can do per post, and put characteristics that must be abided by by RPers. For example:
Troll. Slow, awkward, and clumsy. Can only be wounded once per post. Can only give out 2 wounds per post.
Orc. Quick and agile. Can only give out one wound per post.
Something like that, but more specific. Any thoughts? |
I had to put something here. |

That defeats the whole point of Freeform. If your talking about a different RP style, that specify which one you’re talking about.
Freeform, however, is just that. Imposing rules on freeform makes it lose freeform. So just play it by ear, and if the GM thinks that someone is god-moding, then they can call them on that.
BTW, AP, are you into RPGs to? |

I used to be, but then I let my character (Telmonar) get killed by an Orc in Osgiliath.
CG’s Realms of the North DC thread got me interested again, and Cobra gave me mod privileges in this forum. I’m back in, and looking forward to the revamp! |

Ditto. For those type of stories, at least, count me in. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

I already plan to add in Rorin the Dwarf. Do I HAVE to make a bad guy? |
