Gondor Bowmen This is probably still revered as one of those great cards, but after getting them and using them I have discovered that they don’t deliver the way I thought they would. It seems I’m having to burn two or three of them at a time to polish of the minions.
Minion
Shelob in general I think is pretty over-rated. |

In the right deck, this card pwns. I mean, archery, people! It’s a pretty hefty card. And if you’re having to ditch them two or three at a time...well, mass archery is not ’s thing. Use sparingly.

Whaaa?? Obviously, you’ve never seen Shelob, Her Ladyship in action. Or Shelob, Eater of Light. Cmon, where else do you get an 8 Vitality enduring minion? That’s +14 just waiting to be used! |

Gondor Bowmen is good it’s just not the card that I thought it’d be. And for like 5 dollars a copy and probably more back in the day it’s a card that seems a bit over-rated to me.
Shelob, Eater of Light is pretty much the one I was thinking of. I can’t seem to get her to work with the orc’s and she is so expensive. Most of the time the webs just get discarded. |

Promise Keeping! Automatic death for almost any companion skirmishing gollum.
Even with Shelob. Damage +1, gives one wound, then takes exertion, then takes the other. Ouch. |

Gondor dosn’t shoot people (With the exception of Aragorn). They fight in the skirmish phase for the most part so a card that gives you a free pass (IE a turn without having to waste resources fighting in the skirmish), cost 0 and 1 exertion is a really good card to have around. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

There’s a lot of exerting though. |

there is an fair amount of exerting, but nothing terrible. Gondor also has plenty of healing coverage, so you won’t have to worry much about it.
The main trick with Gondor is to fit the cards together to make a nice ’cap’ over a deck. Gondor has good cards, but you can’t just mix X with L, you have to find a common link before adding the cards. (Gondor can be a bit risky, but deffinatly powerful) |
