A software that was distributed without license from Decipher, with which you can play LotR online for free. Although the whole "legality" of the software was disputed, as it linked to images on Decipher’s website, Decipher says that by displaying more than 5 images on the screen it violated copyright laws. The players saw it different, saying that they linked to Decipher images, and thus did not violate the law.

However, now that Decipher has lost the license, I’m pretty sure that the software would be legal, and even if not, no problem would come of using it, since LotR Online isn’t selling cards anymore, nobody can join them anyway, so SdA wouldn’t take away from business at all.

TradeCardsOnline has a site that HOSTS the images AND has a game where you can play it, and they don’t have any legal issues. I’m pretty sure the software is legal now, but I’d like a confirmation.

Noone plays more SDA than me, its gold! WWL was the best place to find players, but it is having dramas at the moment. Most of us play each other via msn at the moment. For people having hosting dramas, SDA uses port 10,000 so if you have a router you will need to setup port forwarding.

I can host and often available to play. Contact me as follows:

msn: smallmanlotr@hotmail.com
email: ben@smallpc.cjb.net

Standard and WWL’s standard ’oz’ format are most popular. Frenzy of arrows and Faithful stone banned.

Look forward to playing you guys.

I have a router, that must be why I couldn’t connect with other users! I tried port forwarding (found a great website tutorial that takes you right through it), but I don’t know what the port map is. My router wants to know the port start, port end and port map. I just don’t know what those are.
Is there port mapping that is specific to SDA? Is it 10,000? If so, does the port start and end at 10,000? I’m sorry to ask such questions, but I’m totally new at this.
