Can treebeard’s exertions pile up on a single minion? Say he is fighting Shelob and he has 15 strenth to her 8... will she take 7 exertions and then die with the wound?
Thanks. |

No sorry fishfleas it says "x minions" "not x exertions on minions" so if there is only 1 minion but you have a difference of 5 you can only exert that 1 guy once or if there was 5 minions each one once. |

could have sworn I saw this discussed on the D boards in the other fashion...
I’ve seen people use Ring of Fury to heal dwarves more than one time...
This card is worded in the same fashion as that...
THought it was resolved as so
Exert Minion
Exert Minion
Exert Minion
Exert Minion
and so on... |

It says exert x minions and the ring says x dwarves. So say the difference was 3 you exert 3 minions not 2 minions and 1 of them again cos then youve placed 3 exertions but youve exerted 2 minions. Its x minions not x exertions. |

lem0n is right
The difference can be shown with Gothmog, Lieutenant of Morgul. He says ’wound a companion for each site you control’, meaning when he is played place a wound on a companion for each site, one after the other, in the fashion you posted.
Tha same is not true for Treebeard, Enraged Shepherd. It says ’exert X minions’ not ’exert X minions X times’ (that would be so broken!) so each minion that fulfills X gets exerted once. |

wouldn’t call it broken, but is good.
Most high health minions are pretty big... so Tree wouldn’t be hurting them as much. |

The key phrase missing is "for Each". If it said "Exert a minion for each point of strength difference between Treebeard and the Losing Character" then you would be able to exert a single minion multiple times. |
