Who gets hurt first during archery? For instance; Say i have a Southron Bowman and another minion. My opponent has elves ( we hates those elvses ) so he has like 8 archery. My minions, of course, will die. But say that i wanted to use my bowman’s special ability and exert him. Would he die before he got to use it, or would he use it, then gat massacred? |

Here’s how they work IIRC.
Do them in this order:
1: Start of archery phase actions, e.g. Legolas, Of the Grey Company.
2: Archery actions, e.g. Legolas, Greenleaf, Desert Lord, and Elevated Fire. The players take turns doing their actions, with the Free Peoples player getting the first action.
3: Add up your archery totals.
4: Free Peoples player takes archery wounds.
5: Shadow player takes archery wounds.
Anyways, that’s how I think it works. |

AnxiousChieftain is correct.
If you have a Shadow archery total, the Free Peoples player does take those wounds. (Think of the volleys being fired simultaneously -- your minion will die, but he still puts an arrow in the air. )
If you have an archery action to use, such as the Bowman’s exert-to-exert ability, that happens before the actual archery wounds are distributed. |
