Basically a Third Marshell reprint. Not that that’s a bad thing. He gets Valiant and 7 resistance and loses the twilight cost reduction. I don’t know if I’d use him over the Hunters version, but he’s a solid card.
A 4. |

I like Horsemaster too much to use this new Eomer. It’s just too hard to fit him into your starting fellowship, whereas Horsemaster can easily fit alongside most companions.

You can start him and Theodred, Second Marshal of the Mark though |

Grading this Eomer with 2 or 3 tells more about knowledge of player then about true value of this card. You can’t start with this guy, big deal, start with two other rohans and pool him with Last days of our house.
Third Marshal was best Eomer ever, and this one is closes thing to him. |

I would still rather use Horsemaster rather than Third Marshal of Riddermark in a deck. Horsemaster has a +2 bonus automatically and can easily get higher with his text while TMoR can only sometimes get his strength bonus.

I think TMoR and this new Éomer do not fit in the latest Rohan decks, so this is nothing to change the standard environment, but I see him as a tribute to the legend that TMoR was and still is for people who play this game since FoTR, like me, and remember how strong he was when TT was released.
I give him a 5 because this is what I think Age’s End should be about, a tribute to the game and its best moments, and TMoR was definitely one of them. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Like you said, just like a Third Marshall. The cool thing is that he has more resistance, and that doesn’t matter much unless you play a resistance beatdown build. 4. |

Horsemaster is still better (for me). I can get him an easier strength boost by discarding unwanted cards.
Unless you’re running heavy archery, Third marshall would be the more logical choice. |
