Alright, so my last idea for an article didn’t work out that well.
So I’m going with a new one. It’s definitely an original approach....
Anyone have any good Balrog decks that they like to run? |

Balrog corruption. Give him a Goblin Spear and Must Do Without Hope. It doesn’t work.
Moria Tank. Foul Things and 4x Balrog and Host of Moria. A Balrog a site absolutely mutilates any FP that fights and doesn’t get above 17 strength (in other words, its a noob eater deck). Oh yeah, Final Cry. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

I run a deck that plays the cave troll of moria, scourge of the black pit and the balrog over and over with a full Orc swarm. Put site path control on the free peoples (speak "friend" and enter is the best card for this) and card drawing (probably dwarves with no pauses, no spills and till durin wakes again - just for fun!), toss in a standard swarm with at least 3 cave trolls and 3 balrogs (normally the balrog, the terror of khazad-dum), keep moving to underground sites (especially the bridge of khazad-dum) and use host of moria, legion of the underdeeps and goblin swarms to make sure you play the balrog as many times as possible. Use power and terror and the balrog’s and cave troll’s gear if you feel like it, but I usually don’t bother.
It’s a fun deck, a beat-down.

Anyone taken a stab at using The Balrog, Demon of Might? It’s one of the real bright spots of Age’s End, and I was curious if anyone has worked it into a deck yet. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

In my new watcher deck i need to increase it size for multiplayer so im gonna splash him in as i can fetch him with foul things and pump him with dark places x4 and durins tower if the time doesnt call for a watcher. Not useful for AD but still. |
