Is it just me, or have ALL the cards in the card search disappeared?

Cobra, are you taking them down now that the store is closing? Crying or Very sad I NEED that!

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

some of them are there. but most are gone. i asked him if he could keep the search engine up. i depend on it for decklists and stuff. and to know what people are talking about when they name suchandsuch a card. he didn’t respond. it’s a sad day.

but CC has had a good run.

It WAS a good run, but I don’t understand why the database has to come down, especially if the forums are staying open. The store may be closing, but that doesn’t mean that has to be the end of everything. He doesn’t have to maintain them, just leave them up. I know he doesn’t owe us that for any reason, but it would be nice to still have.

I just don’t understand why it’s going down. Sad

yeah, me either. it’s going to make things so difficult, i mean, we’ll have to spell out card texts every time we want someone to know what it does. do you know of any other card search engines?

EDIT: by the way, the whole search engine is out now for me too.

TradingCardBrowser.com is pretty nice, but it only goes up to Mount Doom. OKAN has every card from every set, but it’s not exactly searchable. Beyond that, I don’t know of any.

Huh. That is pretty darn useful, but still...not as convenient. Sad

I hope it can be reversed. I miss my CC database already.

Not as convenient?? Come on, have you downloaded it? Has thousands of functionalities, sort order, filters, custom filters, deck printing, statistics, format checking ... you can even use it as a collection manager because there’s a config file in which you input how many of each cards you have, and if you run out of it while building a deck the program marks it for you!

Is it easier to build decklists by searching cards on by one, clicking on it to see the text, then copy & paste it into notepad? Laughing

Well, it was very convenient to just click on a linked card here and see it come right up. That’s what I meant.
