From what i understand, not only cards with this keyword cannot be responded to, but also they cannot be countered correct? |

When a card with Split Second hits the stack, you can’t use it until the spell resolves. Now, what does that mean?
1 - You CAN add mana (it doesn’t use the stack, remember?);
2 - You CAN unmorph a morphed creature (it doesn’t use the stack, also);
3 - You CAN’T use any ability that’s not a mana ability;
4 - You can’t play any spells.
So, basically, when a guy plays a split second spell, you CAN add mana to use later (if it’s relevant), but the mana will only be able to be used AFTER the split second spell resolves.
And, basically, yeah, it can’t be countered, unless you have a morphed creature that counters a spell as it unmorphs. |
