Ok, so I just got a order in of a few boxes of cards. Even though I have played a number of CCGs, and have a huge amount of cards for some games (35k cards from LOTR and around 30k from SWCCG) I still get that feeling of excitement when I go to crack open some packs of cards. Its almost like a little boy sitting around the Christmas tree ripping open his gifts to see what is inside.
Does anyone else seem to get that warm fuzzy feeling of opening up packs like me, or am I alone? Or are there others that are addicts like me, but in denial? |

Oh yes I remember when I pulled my foil Arwen, DoE in my first box of cards I bought. I was like "OH MY GAWD!". A couple of friends and I drooled over that for some time |

I love that feeling.
It makes me sad that I’ll never open LotR packs again... |

So true! I can find some extremely cheap booster boxes (especially with the wonderful exchange rate), but the price of shipping can be more than the cost of the boosters! Still, compared with the prices here in the UK, it’s still cheaper (most of the time) to buy from the States.
The addiction to opening boosters is so ingrained in me, however, that I still find myself buying boosters at my local card shop for exorbitant prices, just to get that quick fix. Yep, I’m hooked. |

HAHA I used to do that when at times when you could find them in stores regularly here in the states. Most of the places in my area have stopped carrying LOTR by now. But I never minded paying $3 a pack once in awhile when it helped out the local card shop (especially since I used the place to play with others).
I found a box of reflections a couple weeks ago in a local store for $20 and bought it even though I have full play sets of all the reflections cards and the sets that are packed in them |

Wow thats awesome. Im so envious of american players. Because D are american the price of lotr cards over there are dirt cheap to what we pay for them. Shops sell packs here at £2 -£2.50 which is $4 to $5. Boxes are double what you pay. I always order 2 boxes of a set from the states for around $200 with postage. Thats £50 a box. Over here they are £75 to £80.
If i could find a reflections box for $20 id DEFINATELY buy it. Jammy yanks! |

Yeah i know the feeling my theory is it is the new card smell. Its addiction and a small dose of it comes out when you open a pack |
