I know that the answer to this is probably painfully obvious, but I feel the need to ask anyway. Razz
Some cards are of a certain culture, but then their text refers to a type of people that can be included in another culture. I’ve noticed many cards like this, but I’ll use Southron Spear as an example:

1 Raider
+2
Possession - Hand Weapon
Bearer must be a Southron
Skirmish: Remove 4 and exert bearer to wound a companion or ally bearer is skirmishing.

The text only says that the bearer must be a Southron; it says nothing of the Raider culture. Could a Men Southron (such as Enraged Southron)bear this? Or does it have to be a Raider Southron?

I think that I know the answer, but I just want to be sure before I play this in my deck. I have many disasters as it is, without adding this to it. Shocked

Bad example. Enraged Southron is not a southron. His name has the word Southron, that’s all. However, id you do find a Men southron, you can do it.

BTW, do you want me to build you this deck better? I know about Raider archery.

Yes, that would be great, if you don’t mind. I’m a bit lost most of the time (but hey, that’s my life Very Happy )!

Edit: Oh, and thanks for the answer! 18-19 GP

The key issue here is keywords. When stating things like easterling or southron, it means the bold keyword in their gametext not their title. it needs to say Southron at the start of their gametext to be able to be spotted as one. Otherwise Ulaire Attea The Easterling from Mines of Moria could be spotted as an easterling Razz .

Hope that helps.

Cheers

For example, Flaming Brand, says bearer must be a man. So, a Gandalf man, Gondor man, and Rohan man. Heck, if you can find a way to play it after the fellowship phase, you can play it on a Wraith, Men, Isengard, or Raider man! That would be stupid, but oh well.

Any questions why it was restricted?
