Hello everyone,

starting today, we will finally post the deck lists of this year’s European Continental Championships. Over at www.open-cards.com , you can now find the deck that finally emerged as the winner from a field of 35 players.

More decklists will follow over the next days. It will take a while to type them all up, so please be patient. Even deciphering the lists takes a veeeery long time, because, frankly, some LOTR players’ handwriting is so terrible that it would probably qualify as a malicious attack on my eyesight in most countries. Please, please, pretty please, with sugar on top, next time, make sure you type and print your decklists at home, instead of scribbling them on a tiny piece of paper two minutes before the first round starts Wink
Have a look at my trade list (incl. lots of 17/18 RF/O foils).

Thank you very much for the notification Kaiser. Was it fun?

I’ve been told that my handwriting doesn’t look like a guy’s, because its actually readable. Very Happy

Okay, winning deck looks like a Denethor, LRS/Forestgul deck.

Boromir, Bearer of Council
The One Ring, The Ring of Rings

Adventure Deck:

Woody End
Buckland Homestead
The Angle
Cavern Entrance
Mithlond
Prancing Pony
Crossroads of the Fallen King
Trollshaw Forest
Caras Galadhon

Free Peoples:

1x Aragorn 15R55
3x Denethor 13R64
2x Aragorn’s Bow 15R56
4x No Travelers in this Land
3x Shield of the White Tree
2x Kingsfoil
4x Ithilien Blade
4x Well-Traveled
1x Farewell to Lorien
1x Rider’s Mount
3x Namarie
1x Steward’s Legacy
1x Legolas 15R18
1x Eowyn 10R72

Shadow:

2x Black Rider
1x Ulaire Otsea 17R141
2x Ring of Terror
2x Ulaire Lemenya 15R185
2x Ularie Cantea 7R211
2x Ulaire Enquea 13R182
3x Ulaire Toldea 12U180
4x Ulaire Nelya 11S222
1x Ulaire Nertea 8U80
3x The Witch-King 11R256
4x Dark Approach
4x Lost in the Woods
1x House of Lamentation

Forestguls are decent, look like a beatdown strategy, but have very little cycling ability. No Ithil Stone? No Moving This Way? Well....I guess he at least had Otsea, Duplicitous Spectre. That would help a little. I’d have to see the shadow work in order to believe it was capable of much.

The FP, on the other hand, isn’t shabby at all. A Coif would be nice if he didn’t run so many forests. Very Happy As would a Rohirrim Mount.

He needs Faramir, Captain of Ithilien. But, then he’s also trying to abide by the rule of 5...

A good archery-hunters deck and the fostguls were more than dead actually.

Yeah. But hey, everything needs to be slaughtered by something.

I think this deck won because of the FP. The Forestguls are trash.

Corsairs. Timeless and broken as ever.

Lackey and Uruk-hai hunter grind are both very powerful.

Mountain Troll with wargs and swarming is the most powerful, almost broken, deck ever.
If anyone wants to taste it, I’m in for a SdA match...

Troll’s Keyward is OP. I choose to ignore that card.

And yes, Demoralized is OP as well, but that’s expanded.
